Copyright Transfer Upon Publication
Upon acceptance and publication, authors transfer copyright of the article to Kinesiology and Physiotherapy Comprehensive Journal (KPCJ), published by ROM Physiotherapy Denpasar. Notwithstanding this transfer, KPCJ grants authors a broad set of retained rights and publishes all content immediately under an open access license, ensuring free global access to the scientific community.

All articles published in KPCJ are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This is one of the most permissive open licenses available, enabling maximum dissemination while preserving attribution to the original authors.

03 — Author Rights in Detail
Reuse in Own Works
Authors may freely reproduce figures, tables, data, and text from their published article in subsequent publications — including book chapters, edited volumes, review articles, or dissertations — without requesting permission, provided KPCJ is cited as the original publisher.
Self-Archiving & Repositories
Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript (post-peer-review) or the published final PDF immediately — with no embargo — to any institutional repository, subject repository (e.g., PubMed Central, Garuda, OSF), or personal academic profile (ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar).
Conference Presentations
Authors retain the right to present published research — including slides, figures, and data — at academic conferences, symposia, workshops, and invited lectures without prior permission from KPCJ.
Teaching & Educational Use
Authors may include published content in course packs, e-learning modules, student handouts, and clinical training materials. No permission letter is required; attribution to KPCJ is sufficient.
Preprint Rights
Authors may post a preprint of their manuscript on servers such as bioRxiv, medRxiv, or OSF Preprints before, during, or after peer review. After publication, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with the DOI link to the final published version.
Moral Rights
Authors retain all moral rights as defined under Undang-Undang No.28 Tahun 2014 tentang Hak Cipta (Indonesian Copyright Law). These include the right to be identified as the author and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work.
04 — Third-Party Permissions
Because all KPCJ content is licensed under CC BY 4.0, third parties — including researchers, clinicians, educators, journalists, and the general public — may use published material under the terms of that license without contacting KPCJ for permission, provided they comply with the attribution requirement.

05 — Digital Object Identifier (DOI) & Persistent Linking
Every article published in KPCJ is assigned a unique Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The DOI provides a permanent, stable hyperlink to the article's version of record, ensuring continued accessibility even if the journal's URL structure changes.
DOI Assignment
Assigned via Crossref upon online-first publication. Format: 10.XXXXX/kpcj.vXiX.XXX. DOIs are permanent and resolve to the canonical article page.
Metadata Registration
Full article metadata — including author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, abstracts, references, and funding data — is deposited with Crossref at the time of DOI assignment.
ORCID Integration
Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their ORCID iD during submission. ORCID links are included in published metadata, connecting works to author profiles across databases.
Version of Record
The DOI always resolves to the authoritative version of record — the final edited, typeset, and peer-reviewed PDF. Post-publication corrections are handled via corrigendum with a new DOI where necessary.
